Among the most demanding challenges of the 21st century there are those relating to achieving energy and food independence without compromising the environment. The availability of low-cost energy, together with access to sufficient food resources for all the inhabitants of the planet, are the premises without which it will be difficult to think of a future of prosperity and without conflicts. The project aims at the construction of a building of 23,000 square meters to produce electricity at competitive costs and use the thermal energy deriving from the energy processes to cultivate plant products in a controlled environment.

The aim is to create a plant for the production of vegetable products in a controlled environment, energetically assisted by a cogeneration plant capable of producing the entire required electricity and thermal energy needs. The volume includes a space for energy production, a large covered greenhouse, a photovoltaic roof, a space for teaching and welcoming visitors. Linked to agricultural production in greenhouses, a covered market is planned for direct sales to the public.
