dùplice [from lat. duplex -plĭcis, comp. of du- «two» and theme of plicare «bend»] – adj. Which consists of two parts, of two elements, not necessarily the same. An architecture born from the idea of combining two different elements: container and brick; the first symbol of industrialization, the second of tradition. Containers are the framework, the structure of the architectural object; the brick, binds them, unites them and encloses them, like a boundary wall. A fifth, a lattice, visually penetrable, which “conceals” the presence of containers, showing them only in certain situations, enhancing them by creating light and shadow effects.

The task of the wall elements is, therefore, to give a new soul to the container, eliminating the industrial idea they possess. From the composition of these elements patios are generated, open spaces, of interaction, which make the project both flexible and functional. Inserting a new architecture within a consolidated landscape becomes a theme to be explored: an object characterized by natural vertical elements, that emerge from the horizontality of architecture, with the aim of recreating a new landscape within the existing hilly landscape.
